Compare this with the rise in birth-related programming recently: Call the Midwife, for example, or The Midwives. The obvious choice, of course, is One Born Every Minute.
I am writing an article for Parentdish on whether programmes such as One Born Every Minute should feature stillbirth or neonatal death, and need your input.
On the other hand, the featuring of such a tragic and highly-emotional time could cause many expectant parents to worry excessively, and may cause an outcry from distressed viewers.
I could do with featuring a few quotations from those who feel either way. Ultimately, we need to come to a resolution on the question: should TV programmes feature stillbirth and neonatal death more prominently? If so, why and how?
